John william Waterhouse was a British painter of the Victorian era who first painted in the Academic style and later embraced the legacy of the Pre Raphaelite Brotherhood. He drew inspiration from classical and romantic literature, painting scenes from Greek mythology and the Arthurian legends.
He has got to be my favourite artist of all times , his paintings are always a fresh source of inspiration for me, I just love, love his depiction of female figures , portrayal of landscape and attention to detail.
