Once in a while I like to practice my Chinese brush painting techniques. This style of painting concentrates on getting the gesture right and not that much on light on form. There’s no drawing and erasing and usually drawn from memory and imagination, so no reference involved too. I start with practicing my calligraphy strokes first, then move on to painting bamboo and leaf groupings and look at other Chinese artists compositions. Heres my latest work:
