I have finally finished this painting which I had begun work on a long time back. I had started with a color layer without a tonal underpainting and was not sure if I should go ahead with it or scrap it, but I like how it has turned out though it has taken a looong time to finish it. I love the even texture on the oil primed linen panel that Centurion makes. The reference for this one is from our terrace garden with lovely evening backlighting. Love the chutnies and other dishes made from this vegetable. This is my second vegetable portrait after one that I had done of a tomato vine in watercolor. Hope you like this one!
